Camper FW10 Show

Even though it is already spring, it is still chilly enough (pretty much every other day) for us to be thinking about cold weather footwear. On Wednesday, Camper gave us a glimpse of their fall/winter 2010 collection. The presentation had six themes, which highlights six traits that embody the best of what their various shoe collections have to offer. They created a vignette for each trait to represent it in a memorable way.
A man lying on a bed of nails was the feature of the Cushion and Comfort vignette. I suppose to illustrate that the comfort of Camper shoes are the diametric opposite of the gentleman’s painful-looking task. Another interesting area was the dunk tank to showcase Camper’s waterproof shoes. Apparently getting coffee is old news in the world of interning, dunk tank victim is now also part of the duties. The other vignettes included Hybrid (a garden to illustrate the marriage of recycled and non-recycled materials), Lightweight (shoes attached to helium balloons floating around), Unisex (area manned or perhaps more appropriately, woman-ed by drag queen Erickatoure Aviance), and 360 Degree Stitching (featuring shoes suspended within a Hoberman Sphere sculpture – the stitching gives Camper shoes more flexibility).
