Thursday, the 21st, I was invited to the Despesha Charity Auction to benefit Russian Children’s Welfare Society. It was held at Helen Yarmak Showroom in New York City. Many well known designers donated their talents to a most worthy cause. There was a a very large crowd of supporters including many of the who’s who.
The TV show, Fashion In Action attended along with Cognac’s Show and other shows did much filming. I got to work on a reality show while helping with interviews.
Some of the designers who donated their talents are: Malan Breton, Staerk, Helena Koj, Ports 1961, Helen Yarmak, Shapovalova, Custo, and Tabula Rasa to name a few. The Diamond Club International donated a 500.00 gift certificate and the New York Health & Racquet Club donated a three month premium membership. All these things and more were up for bid to this most worthy cause.
The events was a wonderful success. And the best part is I hung out with my friends and met some wonderful new ones. I’m sure everyone else did also.
