Castlestock:
This past Saturday, Aug 22, Sir Ivan hosted another one of his famous fetes at his “castle” in Water Mill. In honor of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, the party was deemed “Castlestock” and served as a fundraiser for his Peaceman Foundation which provides aid to sufferers of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. There were no shortage of people willing to fork over the $500 ticket fee for a chance to attend one of Sir Ivan’s infamous parties, especially when word got out that the evening would include a musical performance from the eccentric host himself. Those that made it past the gates found themselves at Woodstock redux but in much plusher surroundings. Guests in their best 60′s floral attire lounged in the backyard pool area or on the spacious blanket strewn front lawn while enjoying libations from the bar and fare from the buffet table. Later in the evening, the white caped jumpsuit wearing Sir Ivan leaped on stage and performed a song from his upcoming album, a dance remix of Kumbaya. At the end of the night, attendees had been fed, watered, shocked and maybe traumatized, but they definitely returned home armed with a slew of tales guaranteed to amuse friends and family alike.
Gift Bags For Good:
On May 13th, gift bag afficianados gathered at the W Hotel Union Square for the Gift Bags for Good auction. The event featured gift bags donated by various celebrities and companies available for bidding and benefitted Clothes Off Our Backs. Attendees sipped wine, munched on hors d’oeuvres and examined the goodies to the tunes of DJ Josh Madden. For one night and a bit of cash, the winning bidders got a taste of how celebs feel to go home from an event ladden with loot.
