Zang Toi showed an elegant and stately collection for fall/winter’12. The looks, in mostly cream, gray, black and red, had classic cuts and tasteful lines. Zang sent out figure flattering sheath dresses with lace detail and tailored suits and coats for both genders. Of course a Zang Toi show would not be complete with out evening wear. One of the pieces that received the most attention was a red ruffled number that was seemingly a voluminous ball gown, but then the fabric of the cape parted to reveal a mermaid style dress with the same ruffle accents. Overall, what stands out about the collection is Zang’s deft hand in fashioning beautifully cut and tailored clothing that can stand the test of time.[Caren Kong]
First and foremost, Zang used REAL models. They weren’t these young girls who stare blankly down the runway , while tripping and sometimes falling in an evening gown which they have no experience wearing.
These real models filled out the clothing properly. They could walk; they could model, twirl, and poise. The photographers at the end of the runway had a feast! Light bulbs went off to the point of almost blindness. The audience oooohhhed and aahhhhed. They clapped, they screamed, and they gasped.
When the show ended, Zang Toi came out with his models. He received a huge, roaring, standing ovation. His fans were screaming, some were crying. Zang, with his humble and kind heart, thanked the crowd with tears in his eyes. Even he felt the huge warmth of love that the people were sending out to him. Crowds of people rushed to see him backstage. They had to see him, to touch him. People hugged and kissed him. Everyone was so happy for Zang. A truly wonderful show. Congrats Zang!…Pearl Runningdeer
