I haven’t had time even to ride my horses. Usually I go to a couple of horse shows by now but.. yuk…
Gen Art invited me to another gathering but i don’t know if I can make it. So busy getting this show together. I also didn’t make the Nexus gathering either that just past so sick…. bummer!!!! Loris Dorian is one of my favorite designer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least Caren went. I can’t wait to hear how wonderful it was.
Hopefully I will be well enough to go back to the Reservation and see my family and friends for the weekend.

I remember seeing you two at all the off site shows during fashion week. This year off site is the new happening
Good luck to your reality show and your blog.
Hi Pearl, I hope you have a good time at the pow-wow and see your family and friends and you get to take your horses to some shows. I know you look fablous in your fashion show. Well I am glad that your are over being sick. Good luck in your next fashion show.
Thanks Anne. This cold is a hanger-on one. I usually get over colds within 48 hours. But I haven’t been about to get to the sauna. The sweat lodge will do well for me this weekend.
Allen, Are you a photgrapher? If so I do remember speaking to you at Fashion week in Feb. Hope things are going well for you!
Did any of you ever attended some overseas shows? If so what do you think the difference is compaired to here?
I hope your cold gets better. I think your blog is just what this website needed. Will you only be filming in NYC for the show?
I see this site also covers furiture designers. Is that because of the reality show on Bravo? Will you be covering more shows in that area? Also I saw Running Deer at Malan’s show. And at the project runway showing in SoHo last year. Does she have affilation with the show?
Hello everyone, its me, Caren the often absent fashion and beauty writer. I’m going to try and address some of the things that Pearl has brought up. Nexus – The event seemed more about promoting the new pr firm they’ve formed there; Loris Diran will also be in charge of that branch of Nexus also. GenArt Styles 2007 – Give me some time, I’ll have the review of the show up soon. Let me just say this, Form rocks!!! Check them out at http://www.jerrytam.com
In regards to the comment about int’l shows vs. NYC shows – In Europe, fashion shows are an event. They are almost like a performance; everything from the music to the audience has a role to play in the presentation. NYC is all business; its all about getting the clothes seen. Usually, there is very little else to draw your attention other than the clothing. Some labels/designers don’t feel that way though. Heatherette always puts on a fun and crazy show, and Alexander Herchcovitch usually does something interesting. NY’s fashion shows are also very RTW oriented, while you will see much many more avant garde and haute couture shows in Europe. As for the fashion shows in the other parts of the world, I can’t comment on, since I haven’t seen any of them.

Caren also forgot to say she is writing for another magazine. The link will be posted here soon. Congrats Caren!
